Zanichelli Barbara

Nata a Parma, diplomata in Violino e successivamente in Canto Performance e Pedagogia del Canto, con lode, presso il Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana a Lugano, sotto la guida di Luisa Castellani.

Vincitrice e finalista di concorsi internazionali come il “Luca Marenzio” 1999 e il Nicati 2009, voce di soprano leggero, è un’interprete che rivolge il suo lavoro artistico soprattutto alla musica antica e a quella contempo-ranea: dal gregoriano alla prima polifonia, dal madrigale alla cantata del Settecento, dal Novecento storico alle avanguardie contemporanee. Svolge intensa attività concertistica partecipando, in veste di solista, a produzioni musicali, in collaborazione con ensemble strumentali diversamente formati o di voci a cappella, esibendosi in importanti sale e festival internazionali.

Ha cantato sotto la direzione di K.Stockhausen, T.Fisher, A.Richard, G.Bernasconi, R.H.Platz, M.W.Chung, P.Memelsdorff, B.Kujken, P.Németh, L.Pianca, O.Dantone, E.Gatti, V.Parisi, Ensemble Contrechamps, M.Wendenberg, P. da Col, A. De Marchi, C.Cavina, tra gli altri; interpretando anche partiture in prima esecu-zione assoluta di compositori come K.Stockhausen, (World Premiêre HIMMELFAHRT, Prima Ora di KLANG), F.Hoch, G.Bryars, L.Kupper, S.Gervasoni, W.Blank, M.Stedron, N.Bolens, W.Merz, approfonden-dole con gli autori stessi.

È docente di “Prassi esecutiva e Repertorio” al Triennio di Canto Rinascimentale e Barocco presso il Con-servatorio “Ghedini” di Cuneo; inoltre insegna “Canto e Pedagogia del Canto” presso il Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, e “Vocal Coaching per il repertorio in Italiano” presso i Conservatori di Ginevra e Neuchâtel in Svizzera Francese.

Barbara Zanichelli ha partecipato a dirette radiofoniche italiane ed europee e ha registrato per varie case di-scografiche tra cui ERATO, ARCANA, CHANDOS, VIRGIN, GLOSSA, STOCKHAUSEN-VERLAG, NAIVE, AEON. TACTUS, PAVANE, ARTS, BONGIOVANNI, PHONÈ.

Barbara Zanichelli, soprano

Barbara Zanichelli was born in Parma, where she earned diploma at the conservatory in violin, before going on to study voice and earned a Concert Diploma and Pedagogy Diploma with honors, from the Conserva-tory of Lugano (Switzerland) under guidance of Luisa Castellani.

Winner and finalist of international competitions such as “Luca Marenzio” 1999 and Nicati 2009, voice of light soprano, is an interpreter that directs his artistic work, above all, to ancient and contemporary music: from plainchant to the first polyphony, from madrigal to eighteenth-century cantata, from the beginning to the twentieth century to the contemporary avant-gardes. She actively concertizes both as a soloist and in ensembles, in musical productions, in collaboration with differently formed instrumental ensembles or voic-es a cappella, appearing at important venues and international festivals in both Italy and abroad.

She has sung under the direction of K.Stockhausen, T.Fisher, A.Richard, G.Bernasconi, R.H.Platz, M.W.Chung, P.Memelsdorff, B.Kujken, P.Németh, L.Pianca, O.Dantone, E.Gatti, V.Parisi, Ensemble Con-trechamps, M.Wendenberg, P. da Col, A. De Marchi, C.Cavina, among others, and has premiered works by composers such as K. Stockhausen (World Premiêre HIMMELFAHRT, First Hour of KLANG), G. Bryars, F.Hoch. L.Kupper S.Gervasoni, W.Blank, M.Stedron, N.Bolens, W.Merz, closely collaborating with the au-thors themselves in the preparation of the performances.

Since 2017 she has been teaching Renaissance and Baroque singing at the “Ghedini” Conservatory of Cu-neo; he also teaches Singing and Pedagogy of Singing at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland and “Itali-an Vocal Coaching” at the Conservatory of Genève / Neuchâtel in French Switzerland.

Barbara Zanichelli may be heard on radio recordings in Italy and Europe, and has recorded for various la-bels including ERATO, ARCANA, CHANDOS, VIRGIN, GLOSSA, STOCKHAUSEN-VERLAG, NAIVE, AEON. TACTUS, PAVANE, ARTS, BONGIOVANNI, PHONÈ.
